Simple Torture wrote:Yeah, that was misleading. I was able to get boxes 2+3 below sticker price and below what the separate LPs would have cost together, but I had some bad luck with #2--the glue on the sleeves were defective, so they're all falling apart. LPs are in pristine shape, though, and I've got them stored securely. Nothing like that has happened with the other releases (my Massey Hall sleeve is damaged, but I was able to buy it at a huge discount because of it). This is definitely the best vinyl reissue campaign running.
The campaign really is top notch. I'm a huge Neil fan but there's still so much I'm not that familiar with...I'm guessing some stuff starting with the next box. But I will definitely be buying every LP released as part of this series. No doubt.

I still need A Treasue and the other live one. The name is escaping me. Why were those so limited?

And when will we get a 'Ditch' live show?

Have fun over here guys. Lots of amazing deals. They just had a discount code that expired but there are still tons of records for under $10

I'm going to make a calendar reminder for like November 1st so we can do this this year. If you live in Europe or Australia, fuck you (unless we can find someone in those countries to match you with): http://archive.theskyiscrape.com/viewto ... b#p3613240

Do you know what shipping costs are like to and from the US? It would just be a lot to ask to have someone in the US spend lots on shipping after being randomly paired with someone from AUS/NZ. But then again, it'd be unfair to exclude you and others. Damnit, this is already getting complicated and it's only friggin' April.

My bad - it was SouthP I'd sent stuff to. As you were

No biggie. I'll gauge interest again in the fall, and I hope there's someone local to you who can participate.

The simple solution was staring me in the face: if you're ordering for someone in the US, you just have it sent directly to their US address; if someone's ordering for you, they send it wallaby express. Easy!

Anyone gearing up for RSD tomorrow?

I have 5 things on my if-I-see-them-I-buy-them list, and they're all singles or EPs (Pearl Jam, War on Drugs, Alice in Chains, Iron and Wine, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy). If I don't run into them tomorrow, I've had pretty good luck ordering from stores on Monday morning and finding copies somewhere. There's the Neil Young Decade re-issue that's coming out, but I have a feeling it won't disappear quickly and that I can catch it cheaper in a month or two. The store I go to (Newbury Comics in Norwood) usually has an unannounced sale or two every year (buy two get one used records or something like that), so I'm hoping to find some stuff that way, too.

I'm heading out for PJ, Interstellar Overdrive 12" and Decade. Nothing else I found interesting.

Got a peak at that Interstellar Overdrive 12" and it looks great. Ill definitely pick that up over the next couple weeks if its still around.

I can't partake tomorrow due to other obligations but im not too heartbroken. Nothing I feel I need and anything I want will be there at a later date. This town gets hungry for bluegrass and jam band stuff, the rest doesn't fly off the shelves too quickly.
