Just been announced Hayden Christensen is appearing at Celebration.

Are we getting Anakin force ghost in 8???
Kylo Ren is speaking to Darth Vader's helmet about finishing what he started

Ghost Anakin appears before him
"I happen to be Darth Vader. I heard what you were saying. You know nothing of my work. How you ever got to lead the knights of ren is totally amazing."

Yeah, that article would lead one to believe it's option #2: 40th Anniversary stuff, not The Last Jedi stuff.

There is no future film makers panel. The 40th anniversary panel is where everyone's betting Lucas and even Ford will be appearing. Billy dee is attending as is Wedge.

Perfect time to introduce Ewan :)

Sure. But I was referring to your earlier post about Anakin being in The Last Jedi.

Well yeah it's doubtful. But not impossible. For 9 especially. Him even attending is unheard of.

I'm seriously beginning to question your commitment to Star Wars hysteria.

Is this a joke to you?

I will groan so much if an Anakin force ghost is in this.

He almost has to be in this or in 9.
Makes all the sense in the world. Plus
Think how cool it will make the Hayden force ghost in ROTJ if he turns up again?

I'm okay with it if the story needs it. It makes a lot of sense for Luke to commune with Obi-Wan, Yoda and Anakin. It's certainly not necessary but I think there are ways to utilize Anaking that could be really powerful.

It would not make it cool at all. It never should have happened in the first place.

They definitely wouldn't do it lightly or frivolously.
Anything related to the prequels comes with a level of toxicity.

That said my twitter is the happiest I've ever seen it in a few years with the news Hayden is gonna be at Celebration. So maybe it's time to bring him back into the fold.
I don't think the story will fail without it. But there is a degree of necessity to him.

We know Yoda is playing a part. We've heard they're gonna wait til 9 is out of the way before releasing Obi Wan cos Obi Wan still has a part to play in 8&9. So how weird would it be to have luke talking to Yoda and Obi Wan but not his father?

Itd be a huge screw up if he doesn't appear.

It would be so cool. Him showing up and talking to Luke. Or even Kylo.
Be so brilliant to see that.

Considering that Carrie Fisher is gone, I honestly would not be surprised if Hayden Christensen appears as Anakin to complete whatever narrative arc they had planned for Kylo Ren. It only makes sense.

The only weird territory we get into with Anakin and Kylo Ren is that we don't really know much about Force Ghosts. Can Dark Siders see/interact with them? So far we've only seen it happen with Luke in the films. Yoda talked to Qui-Gon in The Clone Wars but even that's something that I'm fuzzy on. Was it a real Force Ghost of Qui-Gon? We've been told he figured out how to live on as part of the Force but that he wasn't able to fully materialize like Obi-Wan and Yoda. Is that true? If so, then what Yoda saw wasn't a true Force Ghost. Ditto Anakin on Mortis. None of that stuff actually counts because Mortis IS the Force. It's a fucking "planet" made of the Force.

Just so many questions. But if only Light Side Force users are able to become Force ghosts, does that mean that only living Light Side users can interact with Force ghosts? And if so, where does that leave Kylo? He wants to be Dark Side but clearly has a lot of Light in him. Could Anakin even appear to him?

This movie is gonna be great!

Only one answer to that which is garnered from internet is that they haven't gone back to that weird place where the three live since then and as such it's probably being ignored

*unless*

It comes up again in the new films. How do you have luke explaining the force to Rey and launching a new academy (and general population) audience if they haven't seen these weird three episodes about going to meet god and his two main managers?

You can't.

So filoni has said he's wrapping things up from clone wars in Rebels. if they are? They'll either address this or ignore it totally.
I do think we might see a Bendu creature in skellig.

But already we have
Lost Jedi.
Weird rock creature knows the force
Birds that know the force (convorees)

Where's the line? Which is the best one to go with on screen? Cos it won't be all.
