The last name stuff kills me. I age about 5 years every time he starts purposely fumbling through Abbruzzese. I think I planned a whole vacation while he was going " Dave Abbruzow ... Abbuzessay .. Abbrruzesyaii .... Abburzesalamiomi ... Abburzessalazookipooki ...". Shut up already.VinylGuy wrote:it is kinda tiresome...specially the whole last names stuff...just talk about Jeff or Dave. Please.

It's pronounced Abbru-zeese, right? It's not that hard

I guarantee that Jessica can pronounce Ament AND Abbruzzese.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Re: Celebration Rock with Steven Hyden (PJ Audio History)
These were the old Five Horizons authors: Caryn Rose, Jean Bruns, Andrew Dunn, Carl Sylvester, Chris Mansfield.
I know Rose wrote for Backstreets for a while. I wonder if any of them are still PJ fans.

I love PJ.
Should we make a conversation with rmers about their relationship with the band?

Huh. I legit did not know that. I thought it was Abbru-zee-zee. Though, I have heard people say Abbur-zee-zee, too. But come on. That's clearly dyslexic.evenslow wrote:yeptheplatypus wrote:It's pronounced Abbru-zeese, right? It's not that hard

Re: Celebration Rock with Steven Hyden (PJ Audio History)
I liked this episode. But as an uber Riot Act fan I felt a tad hollow by the end. Far too much time was spent talking about their live shows an the bootlegs for my taste. It's, I think, the longest episode of the series so far, but you could cut down time spent on Binaural and Riot Act to about 30 minutes.evenslow wrote:this was really good - letkemann obviously knows her shit. had some great stuff to say about riot act towards the end.LetMeSleep wrote:Episode 6 is up. She did offer some great insights toward the end, for sure. But I really wanted more talk about the records. Also, though, I understand that the band became a "touring" band around this time and all the stuff they tackle with Roskilde is so important to the shape and future of the band. I get why they focused so much on that stuff. But I'm one of the few who really likes PJ's studio work. I don't think every song is better live or is reinvented or fully realized live on stage.

This guy's got to be trolling with the way he pronounces things.
BIN-aural? That's not how you say it, is it?
And how do you say Roskilde?

He says Roskilde correctly. AND he says Binaural correctly when he's talking to Jessica. She says it correctly and he does too. But he says it in such a weird and stupid way every time he says it when he's not talking to her. It's so weird.Farmer John wrote:This guy's got to be trolling with the way he pronounces things.
