Re: What movies are you watching?
Movie day! Watched Ordinary World and holy crap this is a bad movie. It would have been meh as a Portlandia sketch (which it really was, in the end) but stretched out to a full movie? Man. And the songs that BJA wrote for the movie? Terrible. Worse than terrible.
After that, moved on to Much Ado About Nothing, the Joss Whedon version. It was alright. Funny seeing all of these people from Joss TV shows but past that it's just ok. Not the best version of the Bard.
Mr. Right was next, with Sam Rockwell, Anna Kendrick, and Tim Roth. I really liked it, for as cheesy as it was. It had Sam Rockwell as a reverse assassin and dancing his ass off, what's not to love. While looking at imdb I see that one of the guys was cast as Black Bolt. Considering his acting...I'm OK with this. He can't talk, so it shouldn't be that bad.
Watching Tickled right now. Holy shit this is bonkers. WTF at these people. It's going to be the mob at the end, isn't it.

I'm only halfway through, but what did he think it was going to be about? Is he sad that it wasn't about gay sex tickling, or something? However, Armond White of Out magazine was critical of the movie, commenting that it "zips past its sexual aspects", and concluding that it is ultimately "frustrating, a blue-balls documentary".[11]

Having never seen an interview with Billie Joe, I spent the first 1/3 of the movie thinking, "That's what he sounds like?"

The Midnight Meat Train. Holy fuck. What an insane movie. I loved it. Bradley Cooper will never be the same in my mind.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Re: What movies are you watching?
Watched Green Room last night and it was a roller coaster. For some reason I kept expecting a twist to the story based on conversations I heard back when it was released, but now I wonder if I'm just remembering the whole thing incorrectly.

A24 is pretty much the worst thing ever but I give them credit for Spring Breakers
