backspacer/st and yield/lbolt are each essentially tied. I prefer backspacer and lbolt from start to finish, but the highs of S/T and Yield are definitley higher

Backspacer is the only out-and-out flop in the catalog. LB and especially S/T are troubled at points, but also have a lot to show for it.

I think S/T is relatively strong through Unemployable, though probably still below the prior records. Lightning Bolt is lower than that, though there's still stuff that puts it above Backspacer.

Totally agree. There's quite a bit to love about S/T and LB. I spin those records a lot. Backspacer just keeps dropping. The more I listen to it, the less attached I feel. There are some good songs, sure. But there's nothing that begs me to come back often.
