Pearl Jam is really weird about about their new songs getting out there on the interwebs. Its like they still think its 1994 and they can road test this stuff and expect it to be their little secret.

I really feel like if there's another Just Breathe-type ballad on the album, it'll get dropped as single #2 before the album comes out, maybe late-September.

That would really piss me off honestly. You don't name your album LIGHTNING BOLT then have a bunch of puss songs like Just Breathe.... but it's PJ so anything is possible I guess.

Pretty much every album has had a ballad of sorts on it, so I'd be surprised if there wasn't one on this one. I just hope the quality level of it is closer to Nothingman than it is to Just Breathe.

I managed to hear one of the songs, didn't know there were 2 floating around.

One I heard was slow, had a nice pace to it and sounded a bit ominous/atmospheric. Of course that could just've been due to the echo/bad recording.
