As such, he's throwing away choices 2 and 4 as there's almost zero chance of him getting picked. Being selected for choice 3 is only possible if there are still 10C tickets left after everyone who put Brooklyn Night 1 Reserved at preference 1 and preference 2 has already been selected; that seems like a pretty slim chance to me. Same for choice 5: this guy only stands a chance if there are still tickets remaining once everyone who put Hartford Reserved at pref 1, 2, 3 and 4 has been selected. Again, I'm rather pessimistic. If he really wants to go to both Brooklyn 2 and Hartford, I'd be putting them at pref 1 and 2 and hoping for the best.
I have no idea why anybody would bother to put anything for Brooklyn or Philadelphia as a second option if there is any possible other shows they can make. I can't imagine any option for any of those shows will be unpopular enough that they'll get through everyone who had their #1 choice given to them. I get if you have no other shows as options putting them all in there, but there's no way you're getting anything other than your first choice.

Also, you'd be amazed how many people still think they just put all of the names in a hat, pick out a set, and then try to give everyone their highest option available. I have no idea why anyone thinks this, but there are a lot of people who think this is how it works. Inevitably some people who had Brooklyn or Philadelphia as their top choices will be furious and ready to decry the system when people are able to get tickets for both Dallas & OKC, or Charlottesville & Charlotte, or some other combination of less popular shows.

Haha, yes, I've seen this a lot. It's no mystery, 10C have actually made it pretty clear:
Q: How does the show priority selection factor in to the drawing?

A: For each show we will randomly draw members who have made that show their #1 priority. If any tickets remain the system will randomly draw names of members who have chosen that show as their #2 priority, and so on until every ticket for a given show has been sold.

Thanks. Now I've gone back and read your previous post. Makes perfect sense.

Here's the choices that guy posted a few pages back:
1) Brooklyn Night 2 - Reserved
2) Brooklyn Night 2 - Floor
3) Brooklyn Night 1 - Reserved
4) Brooklyn Night 1 - Floor
5) Hartford - Reserved
6) Hartford - Floor
His best shot is at choice 1 but, even then, that's far from certain since the NYC shows will be in very high demand. 10C have already confirmed that the GA sections have significantly less tickets available than reserved, so I imagine the GA section on both NYC shows (and most others) will be sold out on first preferences alone. With system the way it is, your best bet is to (using the above guys show choices would be to go
1. Brooklyn 2 Res
2. Hartford Res

That would give the best shot at 2 shows. The reality is if you don't order your picks right for popular shows, you make it hard on yourself.

charlotte and charlottesville are the combo im going for, but i just put in for charlottesville seated as my #1 and Charlotte seated as my #2, i maybe should have reversed them but if i miss out on charlotte with it being my #2 then ill be ok getting tickets through the public sale

Since my brother is fronting the cash for this and he can only do weekend shows, we only put in for Hartford. My stra-te-gery was to put Seated first, figuring more people would put in for GA Standing? I have no idea if that'll work.

I'm so glad I'm not a 10C member. This shit seems so much more complicated and unduly stressful than just getting a ticket from Ticketmaster and dealing with having bad seats.

That's what that 96 day countdown clock is for on their page...lol

Actually, I think they said it updates in real time as tickets are drawn, of course we have no idea where we will be sitting if we get reserved seats until we pick up tix at will call on day of show. Also it's only 530am on west coast and we know damn well they're not up yet unless they're sitting in traffic on I-5

yeah, i was kinda surprised it was saying that the drawing was currently running, but i assume it was just a line they added to the ticket page before they went to bed or something, just for a appearance of progress being made

The "Ticket Rules" page says you have until 10 a.m. Pacific time to enter your name into the drawing.

It's not that bad. Wrigley kind of taught everyone a lot (or should have). Out of 3 people I know that went 1. GA 2. Res/field only one got tix. So while wrigley demand was extremely high you can use it as a guide.

The same guy who leaked the cities in advance of the announcement says there's a good chance for 2nd shows in Worcester and Seattle; it was in the Live forum, 2013 rumors thread.
