Joey. This is how it's gonna go.
We're about to be handed the most off kilter weird not Star Wars Star Wars arty indie film with a blockbuster budget, ever.
It's going to be deeply unsatisfactory up to an atrocity.
The only people who will like it are gonna be the ones relishing all our misery and they'll do that to the hilt proclaiming it a masterpiece, simply cos the hardcore and gen pop fans 'don't understand it.' (This also happened with empire strangely)
Not looking at anyone here in rm.
And Fuck the trailer next week. As if any of that will actually be in the film.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
I can't wait to find out Rey's heritage (tinfoil hat theory: She's Kenobi/Skywalker. Obi Wan met someone on Tattooine, and they had a daughter that Luke fell in love with. I'm probably wrong, but she's a bad Mamma Jamma and Kylo knows something.) and to see Luke in action again!Strat wrote:its going to be great
ETA: Tinfoil Hat Theory #2 Snoke is Plagueis. He was somehow able to save himself after Palpatine slit his throat.

I'm predicting via an rm lens.
Well all be excited about it. Hate it upon seeing it. Then some sneering shithead will forever rub it in.
Read back over the force awakens thread if you're in any doubt.

Maybe that's the story of the Obi Wan film.
He falls in love with someone while living in the desert and hey ho kids ensue leading later to Rey.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Imagine Vader was holding the door shut on top of holding the guy against the ceiling& blocking and killing everything at the same time? But did they do that?
No.
This film sucks.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
I was in Target because someone gave me a $25 gift card for my birthday. The Blu Ray shelf was bare so I was about to buy something else but then a guy came up and asked if he could help me. He then piled the shelf full of discs. So I decided to buy it; got the 3d set since it was only an extra couple of dollars and I had the $25 card anyway.

of course not, but it no doubt would have been even BETTER with the crawl.durdencommatyler wrote:stip wrote:oh I assure you, I will give an enormous shitdurdencommatyler wrote:I mean, we kinda know there will be because of that picture Rian tweeted/shared. Shit, I have a problem with the 20th century fox fanfare being absent. It was jarring as hell the first time I saw TFA
