Can't wait to see a high quality version of this later. Pretty cool that Marty McFly was there. MJF is another hero of my youth.

I'd like to think this energized the band enough to get them to want spend some serious time making a great album but more likely they will just release some more T-Shirts.

yes, they are on official hiatus now for the next year, per Chris Chelios

Ed is off to Europe to buy designer goods and Matt will be making a Soundgarden album

Stone and Jeff will produce some side project stuff and Mike will shit his pants in the checkout line at a Target

The Eddie story of him being stoned and Letterman talking to him while he watched was hilarious. I remember watching Letterman back then during his DooDooDooDooDooDooDoo phase asking PJ to play, funny Ed was stoned watching it as well. The Micheal J Fox shout out was 1.21 Jigawatts of random goodness. Thank for for broadcasting the ceremony sir!

Really good show. My son hated it.

I showed him the MTV Rocking for context. He liked that better. I told him Pearl Jam were really pretty calm when I saw them 5 years after that show, but Neil basically destroyed the place when I saw him an additional 18 years later.

I also loved how Eddie managed to work a weed reference or 2 in there. He's been really happy about legalization the past few tours. Come on VA/NC. We have big tobacco companies and I'd buy Camel Indica or Marlboro Skunk... He got a good jab in there about "Fake News" and Climate Change as well. Stone's speech was still my favorite, though.
