As a huge Jarmusch fan, im not sure were i put this one in his filmography. It feels like a lost old film from him, its quiet and contemplative, its repetitive in its form and at the same time feels unstructured.
I liked it.

Kong Skull Island. What a waste of time. Probably would have really liked it if I was 13 though

Paterson is how you make a nice movie. You give it some actual stakes, fill it with full and interesting characters, and tell a good story. There is no need to make it sickly sweet or stupid.

Paterson is such a quiet contemplative piece of work. There are hints of darkness there, but overall it might be one of the most relaxing movies i saw these last couple of years.tragabigzanda wrote:I'm tending towards positive/contemplative art lately, rather than dark or negative. Win It All.
Its a way more focused movie that the last two from Swamberg, and i appreciate this because i like his movies...it feels almost like a companion piece of Drinking Buddies.
Jake Johnson is pretty good, and the movie is small, kinda amateurish in its look but at the same time feels more like a real movie with a conflict and a resolution.

Withnail & I
It's 30th anniversary today.
One of the best films ever made. Certainly among the funniest and most quotable.

Aftermath - meh. The ending was pretty underwhelming

Just got done with Apocalypse Now Redux
I hadn't seen it for a few years, and forgot just how fucked up it all is. I feel like I've gone insane just watching the damn thing.
