Yes I am enjoying this. Hopefully they play it tomorrow night and someone gets a good recording so can we get a closer glimpse.

It sounds like it could have been a jam/improv from an 00-03 show . And a bit like the of the earth outro I think?
I'm gonna go sacrifice a chicken and send a prayer to the musical gods.

LMAO! I was listening to it again...oh who am I kidding I havent stopped. But I love the change at about the 3:24 mark....it's just got such a moody feeling to it, the whole thing does. I can't wait to hear this clearer.stupidmop wrote:It sounds like it could have been a jam/improv from an 00-03 show . And a bit like the of the earth outro I think?

Just realized that change happens all through out the song, but I guess It had more of an imact on me after the (solo? bridge?) hard to work and listen at the same time. lol

It would be the funniest thing of all time to see people on RM declaring this album a return to form without a hint of irony.

I'm 99% sure this isn't an improv. It has multiple, formed parts and changes. Improvs don't. Plus, it was only played once and with no fucking around build up to it. It just kicked in.stupidmop wrote:It sounds like it could have been a jam/improv from an 00-03 show . And a bit like the of the earth outro I think?

This sounds like a completed song with a little extra jamming at the end.

So don't we want them not to play this anytime soon? Don't we want to spend the next few months fantasizing about this recording?harmless wrote:It would be the funniest thing of all time to see people on RM declaring this album a return to form without a hint of irony.
Please guys, don't debut this tomorrow. Let us live in this murky, muffled glow a bit longer.

Aye. I tend to only become active on this board on the few months leading up to and after an album release or tour. When Backspacer came out I'm sure around 80-90% of the comments I saw on here were positive, hailing it as the best thing since Yield. When I came back about 2 years later everyone hated it.harmless wrote:It would be the funniest thing of all time to see people on RM declaring this album a return to form without a hint of irony.

HAHA we're gonna get a clearer recording tomorrow and it's gonna sound like a Willie Nelson song....Better yet it'll be a Willie Nelson cover. Not knocking Mr Nelson, I actually like him, but it would still be the tits!

Personally, if I need to give up on this band or carry on further down the long road, I'd like to know sooner rather than later./Jamily postJaeti wrote:So don't we want them not to play this anytime soon? Re: New songs at soundcheck
I don't hate it. But I feel like so many of the songs on the album had so much potential and it was the produstion that really hurt the album. Just my feelings on it. Got Some while I love it could have been produced to sound more like the Conan version. Mike really holds back and the Sound of the Guitar could have been punched up to really kick some ass. ATW could have been a song off Ten with more maturity, but again it was held back by production. While I love Stones riff on the chourus, I just felt it (the whole song) could have built to something more powerful. SoS demo...nuff said. Unthought Known...to much piano....etc...CupidStunt wrote:Aye. I tend to only become active on this board on the few months leading up to and after an album release or tour. Re: New songs at soundcheck
Would someone be so kind as to pm me the song? I was a member years ago but for some reason had to re-register with the same username, thus the low post count.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds promising, but it's like trying to listen to a song you've never heard of, if you're laying at the bottom of your pool and the song's coming from inside the house.Coach wrote:Is this worth trying to track down?
