Is there any remotely legitimate defense for trotting out that lineup?verb_to_trust wrote:It hurts to devote your free time to the NBA and have absolute abortions like the Nets lineup tonight shoved in front of you in a meaningful game.

First half of the season 11-30, second half 30-11.

Tanking. But the Nets don't have their picks, so NO. The Heat deserved to get in...4/5 wrote:Is there any remotely legitimate defense for trotting out that lineup?verb_to_trust wrote:It hurts to devote your free time to the NBA and have absolute abortions like the Nets lineup tonight shoved in front of you in a meaningful game.

Re: NBA Thread
It is what it is. The Heat have benefited from this resting fad, too. Couldn't quite overcome a horrendous first half of the season, losing Waiters, and especially that awful home loss against the Knicks a couple weeks ago.
The last two months were fun and I think Miami could have put a scare into Boston, but so it goes.
Now I root for the LeBrons and against the Western Conference All-Star team that's going to go no worse than 16-2.

Rockets in 6
Clippers in 6
Boston in 6
Cleveland in 5
Craptors in 7
Wiz in 7
No upsets although I could see the Bucks and Hawks upsetting the wannabe higher seeds in their matchups. Jazz had a nice season but aren't ready for this.

It is partly wishful thinking, but I think we are heading for a Clippers blowup.verb_to_trust wrote:I hate the Clippers too but come on man.

They played decent down the stretch. They will lose in the second round and next year look a lot different.

The Jazz are pretty versatile, but untested in the playoffs. I think the series will go to 7.verb_to_trust wrote:They played decent down the stretch. They will lose in the second round and next year look a lot different.

They had trouble scoring in the regular season I just don't have faith the can get enough buckets once the defense cranks up. Gobert vs. Jordan in a long series will be fun though.Monkey_Driven wrote:The Jazz are pretty versatile, but untested in the playoffs. They were injured quite a bit during the regular season to get any sort of offensive continuity, but yeah, it is definitely their biggest flaw.verb_to_trust wrote:They had trouble scoring in the regular season I just don't have faith the can get enough buckets once the defense cranks up. Re: NBA Thread
Phil Jackson said during his press conference Melo would be better off somewhere else chasing a title. It's Melos move now. I think a big part of him just wants to sit around in New York another year and play with his moobs.
