You heard me. Other than the ships shitting red paint (which felt more like the phantom menace) it all felt very organicLoathedVermin72 wrote:wutStrat wrote:I actually wasn't blown away by the visuals either. However , that is what I loved about it. Felt very authentic and onsite which I love.

Huh. Weird. I actually found a tone to connect to visually. It's part of what made the trailer so compelling to me. *shrugs*

Hey buddy I loved the trailer. The visuals were just not the main thing to Blow my skirt up.durdencommatyler wrote:Huh. Weird. I actually found a tone to connect to visually. It's part of what made the trailer so compelling to me. *shrugs*
And I loved the visuals on the island but what I loved about them was the natural portrayal

I want substance.
Everything and I mean everything wrong with modern cinema is big blockbuster action with no heart or feeling or agency. (Haha).
This needs and has substance. The flashier the action sequence the more tired and boring it is for anyone with even half a brain.
This film won't be about that. It's about story. And lore. Which may alienate people who like explosions but Fuck em. Watch transformers if that's your level.

i watched it again a few times. I am excited for what will hopefully be an intelligent discussion of the jedi, the score snippets sound great, and the last 30 seconds or so... i love star wars so much.
we are probably gonna get 3 great movies in 3 years. What a time to be alive!

For the first time in my life, I'm anticipating an intelligent discussion of broader things in a Star Wars film. This one feels... really heavy to me. We'll see. I'm already getting carried away for this one in a way that I didn't for TFA or R1. I need to scale back and be careful. But I'm SO excited for this movie.

I'm with you 100%
One thing this trailer did in the extreme was wipe out the notion that this will be Empire mk II
Even a cursory glance shows it's unlike anything we've seen.
If it's similar to any of them? Just based on trailer? It's revenge of the sith.
