Hey that's not true. I walked out of the hospital when I woke up after a skull fracture and just said fuck this waste of time. Granted I did get taken back in via ambo later that day when I collapsed but you don't go to hospital unless you're passed out and don't have a say in the matter.

And you only stay if you can't move.
So I was right. irish are tough.

Parody imitating life.

It's only funny in the last minute or so.

Maybe that was the point.

I really should have checked this page before making that post. I meant to say, that youtube vid doesn't work...
So basically, Johnson and May spent Trump's presidency fighting each other over how best to sell the NHS to Trump.

I finally had the chance to buy and watch it at home, which gives me a sense of where this will level out.

Performances are generally good. Krennic is great in this, Jyn is pretty good. Bodhi is great and it's too bad he is not more prominent. I prefer Baze to Chirrut. Upon further reflection I like where they're taking the force in this, though Chirrut's blind force martial artist still feels a bit out of place. I still feel like the movie prior to Edu meanders a bit, and not in a good way - sort of aimless, like it's not sure what it wants to be yet. The big problem is that it is building to the Jeddah/Saw stuff, and Saw is not a great character. We don't get a sense of why is he any more or less 'extreme' than the rest of the rebellion, and I feel like they could have set up Jeddah as a rescue operation to get Bohdi or something similar. The edu sequence is good, and once it goes full on war movie on Scarif it's great. The second hour of the movie is terrific. The first hour is fine. I care because it's star wars but I don't know that I would if it wasn't.

One heretical thought. Now that I've seen it a few times I kind of wish they didn't have the vader sequence. I think I would have preferred it as a show, don't tell. The set up is beautiful, and the shot where he's in the dark and then ignites his lightsaber, and the absolute terror, is masterfully done. But I'd rather it cut from his entrance to focus purely on the terror of the soldiers trying to get away.

Overall I think I'd rank it slightly below the OT and TFA, but certainly able to hang with those movies and light years ahead of the prequels. And the best parts of R1 are as good as the best star wars moments anywhere.

Just when I thought we'd put this horror behind us.

I kid. Did you listen to the story wink guys take? His review isn't as glowing as I'd bought but he echoed all my problems with it though far more eloquently.

The last 45 minutes are as good as any Star Wars though. Can't take that away from it.

I did yesterday. It was good, but not as thorough as I would have liked. He did say he would add more though. I think he'll be delivering content differently due to Paetron

I do wonder.
He must just watch movies and series and read books constantly.
And the somehow finds time to prepare a show about each thing AND record it??

He's either making a really healthy living off it or just loves stuff to a show other level.

So how do you think they do the artificial gravity in a sphere like that? The levels look flat (e.g. the tractor beam pulling the Falcon into that bay) so it's not like a spherical planet where gravity goes towards center mass but more "down" to the "bottom". So if they're upside down and approaching a planet with it's own gravity field...wouldn't that be a bad time?
Huh. Danke.
