Re: Again Today vs Out Of Sand
I changed my vote. I'm not going to listen to that Ed song unless PJ records it as a band. I miss the days when an Ed solo song was a pleasant surprise and not a chore to get through. Trying to listen to this a 2nd time isn't happening. I'm glad Ed's writing, but if I'm honest about it, I'm settling for an original that is sub par over ANOTHER cover. What happened to this band?

The Ed song is the original, but I'm sure you know that. Just found your post a bit confusing.TremorJam wrote:I changed my vote. I'm not going to listen to that Ed song. (...) I'm settling for an original that is sub par over ANOTHER cover. What happened to this band?

it's half that. 1st half is a live version, 2nd is that unlistenable third man phone booth version.j's brain wrote:7 minutes? Ain't nobody got time for that.

Re: Again Today vs Out Of Sand
I'm just in a shit mood with the current state of the band today. Neither are terrible, but I'd originally voted for Out Of Sand, and changed my vote to Again Today. I would love to hear the band tackle Out Of Sand as opposed to recording/playing any more covers, though. They could really bring out some of the things I enjoy about the songwriting in it.Anders wrote:The Ed song is the original, but I'm sure you know that. I agree. Again Today will never be a great song. But a full band version of Out Of Sand has potential. We probably won't get one.

People used to say that one of the reasons why they were convinced Paul McCartney must have died was because the new Paul McCartney couldn't write good songs. I can now see where they were coming from.
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

I liked out of sand find when I listened to it, but I've yet to go back to it, so I guess it didn't leave that much of an impression
