I think we got the best of what David Letterman had to offer. Dave really dug deep and was sincere and funny. A musician like Neil Young would understand what a band is all about and how each member is so important, but then again we wouldn't have gotten the humor that only Letterman is capable of. Also, a real fanboy or fangirl would've gotten into their touring history and success and gotten into the fan favorite albums and stuff. But that's being really greedy. Letterman killed it.
