Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

They have the rhythm all wrong. They never fucking shut up. The tone is obnoxious and loud. The original had a great slacker vibe, with space between jokes and a relaxed delivery. Also, there are at least two movies in this lineup that are genuinely good and undeserving of this treatment, which never really happened before.

Still watching old MST3K episodes. Their treatment of Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Accidentally watched Trial and Error a couple of weeks back and am really enjoying it. Silly light comedy, but Lithgow is so likable.

Im not sure how sustainable it will be, but I thought the same thing about Last Man On Earth and am continuing to enjoy that as well. Definitely a fun low investment Network comedy though.

I think next season (if they get one) will be a different crime. I feel the same way about Last Man on Earth. They do a good job bringing in new elements when it starts to feel stale.

We finally started watching Big Little Lies. This show is so good. Stellar cast and it makes me want to read the book.

Did you know the writers union are in negotiations and there could be a writers strike beginning May 2? Obviously a lot of series have shut down production for the season but late night shows would be effected immediately.

Conan's best week ever was the week he did shows during the 2008 writers' strike.
