That news led me to find out that Charles from Charles in Charge was not actually Charles "Chachi" Arcola, but a totally unrelated character. I always remembered Charles in Charge as a loose Happy Days/Joanie Loves Chachi spinoff. Now my world makes a little less sense.

Yeah, the timeline makes no sense. Happy Days and J loves C took place in the 50s/60s; Charles in Charge took place in the late 80s. Charles was a college student.
