I'm glad Girl on LSD ended up on someone's team. I feared it would go undrafted.

I read the story about the song for the first time the other day. It was supposed to be on Wildflowers, but the record company freaked out and said no, so it wound up as the b-side. All these years, I'd thought it was on Playback.. I was looking at the tracklisting and couldn't find it, so after a Google search, I found the origin of it. i added it to Wildflowers in my Itunes as track 16. I imagine it will be on the Deluxe reissue of that album?

Man, I hope so. I want all the songs/takes from the Wildflowers sessions. Just give me a Wildflowers box set full of stuff.

I'd forgotten all about It's Good To Be King and hearing that for the first time in years was so good. Same with the She's The One material. The radio pretty much played those during initial release, but not really since 95/96. I can't wait to check out Highway Companion, Last DJ, Mojo and Hypnotic Eye. Petty's definitely got a nice discography, even his side bands were amazing..

I was looking for the Fenway Park show and Google took me to his fan club's home page and the cost is $65 a year, but has some nice perks. Fenway Park download as a joining gift!!

I really love The Last DJ. I don't think that album gets enough credit.

The DJ's in the DC area loved that record. Isn't it a concept album? Artists like Tom Petty are why I'd be crushed if PJ decided to not to release any more records. He's got around 20 or so albums.

Yeah, it's considered a concept album. But it's fairly lose, I'd say. More thematically conceptual than narrative, I'd say.

I'm in the middle of it right now. A very bitter record so far.

I love that song so much. I didn't expect it to go so early, man. I fully planned to have it on my team.

I respect the move, my man. You did the right thing.

The one and only time I saw Tom Petty live he played three songs from his (at that point) upcoming album: Lost Children, Can't Stop the Sun, and Have Love, Will Travel. This was in August of 2002, just a few months before The Last DJ dropped. I remember actually tearing up during HLWT when he played it. I knew I was gonna love the album if that was any indication.
