Totally agree. And yet I seem to remember a phase when I was a kid when I really didn't like Tom Petty. Maybe I'm making that up.
Loved him growing up, loved him as a teenager, loved him in my early twenties. When I kind of got bored with classic rock in my mid twenties I went into a "TP isn't that good" phase and boy howdy was I wrong. Glad I snapped out of it.
mid 20s pete sounds no fun
Early twenties pete was almost too much fun, to be honest.

I think they kinda hit the basics on it. It's covered pretty in depth in the book, tho.

I did NOT know that was the inspiration behind I Won't Back Down, tho.

No your place works too. In fact, it might be better. I don't think Joey will let me smoke weed at his place.

Where is this Documentary? Is it on axistv? That channel is the greatest.. Anyone remember the MTV one back in the day? I vaguely do, mostly for his "I'm A Dumbass" song he was playing on acoustic towards the end of it. TP has always been around. Growing up, through relatives, friends, girlfriends, etc. "Last Dance With Mary Jane" was released during my Senior year, then "You Don't Know How It Feels" the following year. Thank you Tom Petty, for helping to kick start mainstream marijuana acceptance in America during the 90's! :P
