I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I'm probably overly critical because I binged through it in a little over a day. The repetitive parts stick out more. If I watched an episode a week, I'd probably think it was great.

Re: TV: Better Call Saul
I really do like this show, and it's a fresh take on the BB style with a new "feel." Only problem I've had to far is the pacing, the beginning of the last episode was almost 20 minutes with no dialogue when I fast forwarded my DVR. The shots were really nice and I was decently entertained, but then again, almost nothing happened from it anyway. Could've been done in 5 minutes. I do think it's great how Chuck is just as conniving as Jimmy but he knows how to play with Jimmy's emotions and the pay off was fantastic.
Also something I really wanted to bring up if it hasn't already. Does anyone else notice how quiet this show is? Same with BB, there is almost no background noise at all. Even movies will have a little reverb in the background to give some ambiance. But this show it's quiet as hell. They must have their sets like vacuum locked surrounded by concrete. Anyone else notice this or am I crazy?

Re: TV: Better Call Saul
No way. That would mess Jimmy up too much (if it was somehow his fault, as I assume would happen on his TV show) for him to become the reckless Saul Goodman.

I agree with Argo; he'd become a broken man. If anything, Kim is his conscience and whatever their falling out may be may inform his evolution into Saul

Yeah, she'll have to completely reject him in order for Jimmy to allow himself to indulge all his worst tendencies and become Saul Goodman. Chuck might die, though.

Re: TV: Better Call Saul
i wish RM could develop 2 different "spoiler" tags. one for an actual spoiler and one for a future hypothesis. cause they are used interchangeably and makes it impossible to ever click it cause even if an episode hasn't aired yet there is a chance the plot was leaked and that's the spoiler.
spike's "spoiler" was not a spoiler. but how would i know that before clicking?
cool story bro

Spoilers are a big problem on the web, but Entertainment Weekly is notorious for spoiling shit in their magazine. I was flipping through an issue from last year and found out about a MASSIVE spoiler from Orange Is The New Black on accident.

Re: TV: Better Call Saul
Ratings for this season have been really bad
Also, the official return of Gus and the Mexican doctor also marks the return of Really Bad Spanish. Looking forward to more of this. It'll be just like Breaking Bad.
