I wish I hated something worth hating as much as you irrationally hate Star Wars (fans)

Somebody pointed something out. And it is weird. He's a teacher of young kids of all creeds in NYC

A Disney product. The last Jedi.

And they have 'this christmas' in the trailer.

It's kind of divisive. Why not just say this December?

I'm no fan of selective outrage but it's a fair point.

Another damn theory but it actually does a fine job of bringing together all of the confusing, vague as hell story-lines and makes TFA a much more interesting movie.

This does raise the possibility that luke and Rey don't spend the entire film on the island.
Star Wars has never shown time passing well at all. Luke was on dagobah for Months yet you can't tell that in watching it.
I wonder is that battle above ahch-to and they're forced to leave to join up with leia
Part of me wants what you're saying. But another part of me loves the idea that Rey & Luke are on the island until the end. It'll be harder for a Luke & Leia reunion that way. But it could be fun to see something different like that total isolation.

Either way... this thing is gonna be great!

If you look at the force awakens trailers now you can see the plot pretty much.

I think this is the same. We see them train on the island. Then Leia looking at a map. Then a battle.

We know kylo and his goons attack luke and Rey on the island. So it's pretty safe to say that battle scene takes place over Ahch-to
I can't wait until we get this scene in the movie:

Because how the hell did they find the planet they've been looking without the map? The same way they found Genosis, looking for a hole in the star banks? Jesus.

Let's see
Except the trailer gives away a pretty big plot point - or at least hints very heavily towards one - and it's kind of rote looking otherwise.

Maybe it's related to the attack we see in the trailer (that we think is on a Resistance base). Maybe Phasma and co. attack the base and some of the Resistance (Leia?) leave the base and go to Luke since they know where he is now. And Kylo Ren follows/tracks them. Or maybe it has something to do with R2D2. Or maybe the Chewie takes the Falcon from the planet to leave Rey and Luke to train. And someone they're able to find his location that way? Who knows!

But I hope it isn't a big dumb "R2 conveniently wakes up at just the right time" type of plot device.
