I used every contact I had back in the day to just audition for the prequels. Obviously, it didn't pan out. But good luck to you, friend. I genuinely hope you get to be in one someday. I mean that. I think that would be the coolest thing in the world.dimejinky99 wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:I think people are overstating her potential casting. They just recast Han solo. That omaze fundraiser looks like a cool prize.
You get to be an extra in Han Solo, go to Skywalker ranch for a weekend and go to the last Jedi premiere in LA
LargeSt donation you can make is $250,000. And even that doesn't mean you'll win.

Re: They call me Snips: An Ahsoka Tano appreciation thread
Should we be talking about Ahsoka's white lightsabers more? How much should I be reading into the fact that she recognized the crystals from the Jedi Temple? Is this just more evidence that the Inquisitors raided the fallen Jedi's gear and stole their sabers/crystals? Or is there more to this?

Kind of an open field to speculate in given they've said 'this is how the crystals work' and then failed to give anymore context about them for other Jedi and sith.

Re: They call me Snips: An Ahsoka Tano appreciation thread
I feel like they're building the mythology. Which is good. I want to know more and have a concrete understanding insofar as we possibly can. I just wonder if those are clues to something (the identity of the Sixth Brother? a better understanding of the Inquisitors in general? who the crystals originally belong to?) bigger and more complex or if it's really just meant to be a nod to the fact that the Inquisitors were helping Vader kill Jedi and nothing more. Is there a mystery to unravel? Or is it just adding color and texture? Fascinating stuff, I think.

It's odd that someone who isn't even a fully trained Jedi out out how to make the crystals come back from corruption before the Jedi did.
Am I miss remembering this? It's certainly never mentioned before ahsoka

A old, jaded wolf showed her how to do it.

Re: They call me Snips: An Ahsoka Tano appreciation thread
Well, just because Ahsoka's experience is the first one they show/tell us about doesn't mean it's actually the first time. It's totally possible this is something the Jedi already knew about and had seen many times. It's just Ahsoka hadn't. And we hadn't.dimejinky99 wrote:It's odd that someone who isn't even a fully trained Jedi out out how to make the crystals come back from corruption before the Jedi did.

But I'm also totally fine with Ahsoka being the first to discover this or to make it happen. It plays more into her importance and her connection to the Force. I think that's pretty cool. The more they can do to enhance Ahsoka's power and mystique, the better, as far as I'm concerned.

It kind of makes sense since she's a super independent and resourceful warrior/jedi/person. Two traits that I think would be pretty key in developing a new process for working with crystals.

On the wolf thing it actually breaks basic wolf rules.
They're pack animals. Not lone hunters.
Maybe there's an entire species of these wolves and she's joined the pack.
Easy way to write her out without Having to kill her off and upset a billion fans.

I still think any "new" form Ahsoka takes (IF any) will be more convore than wolf. I think this wolf theory is getting out of control. But, hey, in my circle of friends, I'm not necessarily known for being the most right all the time.

Yeah lets dock the wolf theory for a bit. Just expounding on it right now and how it relates to her character makes me cringe.

I'm doubtful about the wolf thing too.
It's a whole new thing they'd have to explain.

Re: They call me Snips: An Ahsoka Tano appreciation thread
Exactly. And, while I'm not a big fan of the whole "fan service" thing (I think the artists involved should do what serves the story best, not what serves what fans want), I will concede that in this case you are running a big risk of undoing all the good will you've created with this fantastic, and nuanced, strong female character.dimejinky99 wrote:I'm doubtful about the wolf thing too.

I'm sure there's a way to pull this off and make it amazing. But I'm just not creative enough to figure it out.

The most obvious answer is usually the best too though.
Level Vader up by having him kill her in Rebels.

I know people would probably take issue with her voice/accent. But fuck those people. I think Sofia Boutella would make a fucking killer Ahsoka live action film.
