CHUD, what's the best way to edit album names, fixing featured artists to not clog up a list, album art etc?
Seems to be kind of tricky or no? I've mainly been using Pure Music Mode.

Are you talking on the device, or file management on a computer? If it's the latter, I use Yate to tag music files on my Mac and it works great; don't remember what I used on my old Windows machine, but I can try to look it up tomorrow.Teeeeeekay wrote:CHUD, what's the best way to edit album names, fixing featured artists to not clog up a list, album art etc?

Can these things play m4a files, or do those only work with iPods?

When I primarily used Windows, this is the program I used: http://www.softpointer.com/tr.htmTeeeeeekay wrote:I'd rather do it on my computer.Simple Torture wrote:Are you talking on the device, or file management on a computer? Those are the ALAC files no? If so yes, my Fiio X1 can play them, so I'm guessing that other Fiio devices can.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Can these things play m4a files, or do those only work with iPods?

Re: Portable HD music players.
I mean, you can also edit files that you purchase, too. But yeah, you can do some pretty powerful things with these programs--back in the day I wanted to standardize a naming scheme for my digital Pearl Jam files, so I was able to load the entire 2000 and 2003 tours into the program at once (something like ~4000 files) and that way I could batch-edit to make sure all the songs titles were formatted the same way.Teeeeeekay wrote:Nice. Shit, you can edit tags with windows just by right clicking the file and going into the properties.

Re: Portable HD music players.
I was doing this yesterday. I tried to take random QOTSA b-sides and one offs, put them into one folder named B-Sides and have it show like that instead every song from compilation or single. Most of my trouble seems to be coming from the album art.cutuphalfdead wrote:Shit, you can edit tags with windows just by right clicking the file and going into the properties.
Will it not accept a jpeg that is in the album folder?
