I heard a stat recently that the only teams not to play in at least one conference finals since 2001 are the Wizards, Hornets, and Clippers. That seems insane, but I'm struggling to disprove it off the top of my head.

Pelicans haven't either.

Mrs. Bam and I were discussing this on Sunday. She asked why he was even playing. I couldn't really explain it to her in words. If it were me, I would play. Get my mind off the tragedy. And I would expect that the family supports his decision to play, rather than mourn at home with them, because they welcome the positive distraction.

She didn't get it.

I was serious when I asked about black guys at Celtic games. I looked for like five minutes the other night and couldn't find one.

I was serious when I asked about black guys at Celtic games. I looked for like five minutes the other night and couldn't find one.

All of the local sports teams crowds are like that; the Sox (and the Bruins, obviously) are even worse, I reckon. Boston is an pretty segregated city, not just geographically but socially. I don't know if it's worse or better than any other big city, but it's pretty apparent no matter where you are or what you're doing in town.
