I'm more on your side here. The negative effects of using precautionary spoiler codes are literally NOTHING, while the potential upside is that maybe we save the poor hapless bozo who absentmindedly clicks open a thread of a show they're not 100% caught up on. It's a stupid thing to get mad about.spike wrote:yeah it's all dumb, but i was trying to be nice.theplatypus wrote:It takes zero effort to post or open a spoiler code. Who the fuck cares. maybe chud's mad about it, but not going into tv show threads until being caught up just happens to be my philosophy.theplatypus wrote:I'm more on your side here. In the most recent episode of Better Call Saul, it is revealed that Chuck has a copy of the incriminating tape he made of Jimmy. Later, Kim tells Jimmy this news and they're glad about it. A copy of the tape seems to be an important part of their plan to allow Jimmy to keep his law license.

i think it may have something to do with premeditation or entrapment on Chuck's partThe Argonaut wrote:In the most recent episode of Better Call Saul, it is revealed that Chuck has a copy of the incriminating tape he made of Jimmy. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Re: TV: Better Call Saul
people use it wrong. i don't want to be spoiled about a FUTURE episode, either from a leak or a news article, etc. how am i supposed to know if the spoiler is just a recap of the episode that just aired, someone's guess about what might happen in future, or someone knowing/telling what WILL happen in the future?theplatypus wrote:It takes zero effort to post or open a spoiler code. so instead, i just can't click on the spoiler ever because i don't want to be actually spoiled when in reality 90% of "spoilers" are just recaps of previous episode.
this is my entire beef. it could easily be solved if there were 2 different spoiler codes. one for actual spoilers for something that hasn't aired yet and one for recaps/hypothesis that aren't real spoilers.
or just use it right and only put a spoiler if it's the second one.
it has nothing to do with being lazy and not wanting to click the spoiler.

Use your basic deduction skills. It's not hard. This is the text that immediately preceded TremorJam's spoiler code.
