If Schwarber wasn't carrying around that beer gut he would have made the play standing up. But fat acceptance has resulted in csn Chicago asking if it was the 'the catch of the year'.

Yeah, first baseman and DHs. If you talk to the average cub fan they think Schwarber is just a notch below Mike Trout and could get there with some work.

I stayed up and finished the 18 inning Yanks-Cubs game last night. I didn't start watching until the ninth, though.

Nothing beats being at a Wrigley for a game with a rain delay and extra innings, being at the friendly confines for 8 hours...

Toronto pitching hit I think 5 batters last night, nothing looked intentional, are they always that wild?

Not at all. Bolsinger (who's basically the Jays 7th/8th starter) hit three, and he was all over the place with his curveball.Electromatic wrote:Toronto pitching hit I think 5 batters last night, nothing looked intentional, are they always that wild?
Campos was just called up to eat a few innings. He's just not very good.
Loup (one of the HBP last night) has a really frustrating tendency of hitting (or just barely missing) the first batter he faces. It's weird.

Really odd game. I don't think Colon for the Braves had a single swinging strike either. I can't remember a game that had that many people getting HBP.
