The more I listen to this the more it does sound like a siren at the beginning.

It really does...like one of those tornado sirens....what if this is a song about the recent disasters that have happned in the last couple of years....

edit: I was originally thinking when I heard the song title that sirens was refering to a singing siren...but maybe its a song about loss, nature, pain and the complexity of it all...They do like to write about stuff like that...or at least they used to. So maybe Sirens is refering to an actual Siren and it would make sense to have it at the begining of the song...wow that would be a gut wrencher...I'm getting worked up over a theory. lol sorry

This song really sounds like Mogwai a bit. That moody it is. Soo cool.

Welcome to the forum. Make yourself at home, just don't go too close to that guy. Points in a few directions, uncommitted to whom he is actually pointing.

I hear a specific Sigur Ros progression in that main riff.

I haven't heard it yet, but I bet it sounds like My Bloody Valentine mixed with Pantera mixed with Captain Beefheart, but more epic and anthemic.

So it's very likely the incubus guy is playing strings on this live recording. It's def thom Yorke on backup vox as well.

I can't believe they kicked out Ed and replaced him with the guy from Incubus.

No way I can get excited about hearing this. It could be anything....anything. Until there's some kind of confirmation, it's meaningless. Of course....as always, no offense implied in this post.

Really? You can hear the chord progression, individual guitar parts, what Matt's doing on the drums, you can hear snatches of Ed's vocals, etc.

It is quite obvious that this is the song that will bring thodoks back into the fold while forcing stip to hang up his PJ hat and call it a day.
