All the signs are pointing to this happening. The only thing has me worried is Ewan repeatedly saying Disney seems to have Star Wars tied up until at least 2020. So unless he's just lying and obviously can't give an answer maybe?

I feel bad for the guy. Hes getting bombarded about this question daily.

Still pissed off but curious about his total lack of anything at Celebration. So all our hopes hang on D23. Which is what, June?

But why do they have to announce it this year? Maybe they'll wait and announce it at next year's celebration. And if Ewan truly doesn't know anything, then I doubt you are getting anything in June, dime.

Next celebration isn't until 2019. They're skipping next year.

And it's licasfilm and Disney. If they are working on this it will leak eventually.

They'll get out in front of that before it happens.

And I was asking when d23 is not June but thanks for the laugh :)

Cool thanks joey.

I'm thinking they're probably planning on pumping the brakes on saga until they see how Han does. Just hope it is Obi Wan to close out this standalone trilogy.
It would have all three set prior to ANH. They can move on and away from that time then and it'll make sense to given luke isn't gonna make it out of 8/9 alive.

We'll see Star Wars finally move on.

I do like the poetic symmetry of that: a "trilogy" of stand alone prequels that take place before A New Hope. Then move on. That's a fun idea. Then maybe the next "trilogy" of stand alone films can take place between Jedi and Force Awakens. That would be pretty cool.

Well that what they're doing with the standalones. Pretty sure that was said officially at some point?

A new standalone trilogy set after Jedi/before Force awakens would be tasty.

Loads they could play with in there. Including another Han movie potential if they really are poking at keeping that guy on as rumoured. But again that comes down to how successful the first is. Also that's where you put your boba fett movie. Showing how he survived Sarlaac and potentially came to get revenge against Han?

Why the heck would he want revenge on Han?

Would he know that, though? Didn't Han knock him in the back, so Boba Fett wouldn't have even seen who pushed him? Or am I remembering that incorrectly?

And if he did know, he'd also have seen it was a total accident.

Boba wasn't down in that pit very long.

What a dumb fucking way to 'kill off' a bad guy you've set up.

He was, and is, an irrelevant character who happened to have a cool helmet. Nothing was set up.

Yeah. They ruined the character totally giving him that crap backstory in the prequels.

Right, but if he didn't see Han knock him in, and all the other "bad guys" died that day, he was in the pit at least long enough for Han and Co. to escape, and no one to tell him who did it. Therefore, he could come out and become best buds with Han for all we know.
