I don't have the patience nor enough memory of SG songs to do a top ten, but any list without Head Down and 4th of July baffles me.

I really only listen to DOTUS and King Animal. I like Superunknown a lot too, but I barely ever listen to it. Earlier Soundgarden doesn't really interest me.

I don't think I've ever heard anything they did after they got back together.

 Chris's voice is showing its age at times, but the whole band is on fire for like 3/4 of the album, and even the throwaway tracks get my respect for their continuing to try something new and interesting. There's nothing tired about the album.
Exactly. And the amazing thing is it sounds like a natural progression from DOTU.

Yes, I had the same thought when it came out -- it was like they never even broke up!

If this were the natural succesor to DOTU, I would love it. It's not.

What don't you like about it, Dev? Or how do you wish it was different?
The only thing I didn't really like about King Animal was Been Away Too Long

That bridge though!
Yeah - that's pretty great. The song just seemed a bit on the nose for a comeback album

King Animal is worth it's existence on the basis of Taree alone.
Still better than Lightning Bolt, anyways.
