Re: Star Wars new canon books & timeline
So there are two rogue one related books coming this or next week.
One is about Jyn and saw I think? But the other is called guardians of the whills or something
And it's about Chirrut and baze. Think it might be YA but lost stars was too and that was excellent.

Re: Star Wars new canon books & timeline
I'm intrigued about the Guardians of the whills book.
That could be good especially if it's set before the empire occupied Jeddah and we see daily life in that temple guarding the whills and what that entails
I have a feeling the rebel rising book will flesh out Saw becoming really extreme and too much for the rebellion at least as a subtext. Cos I'm feeling Jyn would have been there for that

I almost bought three Star Wars canon books today. But then I didn't.

No blame. Some are wonderful and intriguing. Some try too hard to be intriguing

The mixed reviews on Thrawn have kept me from pouncing on that one. I'm glad to hear you liked it. Did you read it or do audio book?Rangi Guy wrote:I just finished Thrawn - that was pretty good!

Read it - I've got no time for Audio books. Think I've read most of the Star Wars books now, unless there's something out there I've missed.durdencommatyler wrote:The mixed reviews on Thrawn have kept me from pouncing on that one. How did you feel Thrawn stacked up with the other new canon stuff so far?Rangi Guy wrote:Read it - I've got no time for Audio books. Honestly - I'd say I thought it was one of the better ones, but I don't know if I'm the guy to ask reallydurdencommatyler wrote:How did you feel Thrawn stacked up with the other new canon stuff so far?Rangi Guy wrote:Read it - I've got no time for Audio books. Cool. I think it sounds really great. And the things I've heard people criticize about it actually sound like cool elements to me. I'll have to give it a try.Rangi Guy wrote:Honestly - I'd say I thought it was one of the better ones, but I don't know if I'm the guy to ask reallydurdencommatyler wrote:How did you feel Thrawn stacked up with the other new canon stuff so far?Rangi Guy wrote:Read it - I've got no time for Audio books. I really want to read Bloodline. But Tarkin is the other one I always pick up and almost buy.

Re: Star Wars new canon books & timeline
Joey of you read Tarkin and especially bloodline you kinda have all you need. None of the rest are near as good. Tarkin was a let down. Though saying that it seems to be first in a series. The entire ending is wide open. So it might become amazing in the second part.
