This is what I'll do when I'm paid. Then pick the CD up from the store.Strat wrote:Birds in Hell wrote:Ordered the digital version from the website.Hatfield wrote:On another note, how are you all getting this album? Ordering from PJ's site, itunes, local store, target?

This seems like the best guess.Sgt. Crackpot wrote: Or perhaps they've put LB in brackets because Ed is going to chat about/plug the album.

I don't know why he'd plug an album that's not out for another 3 months. Seems rather pointless.tommymctom wrote:This seems like the best guess.Sgt. Crackpot wrote: Or perhaps they've put LB in brackets because Ed is going to chat about/plug the album.

I'm not sure why he'd plug an album that's not out for three months, and I'm not sure why he'd do it several songs into a set. I think it's more likely to be an as-yet-untitled song, or a placeholder for a song which is untitled because they don't want it leaking.

Or that. Who knows? If it is, it's likely that it's that instrumental, and the brackets will appear on the album version as well.Birds in Hell wrote:...or it's a song entitled Lightning Bolt?harmless wrote:I'm not sure why he'd plug an album that's not out for three months, and I'm not sure why he'd do it several songs into a set. Stupid ass me, I didn't scroll the photo across and missed the entire list on the right. Maybe Future Days is a cover song, perhaps the Thompson Twins song?

I'd say so - they often have songs they may decide to cut on the spot in brackets on the setlist.Birds in Hell wrote:...or it's a song entitled Lightning Bolt?harmless wrote:I'm not sure why he'd plug an album that's not out for three months, and I'm not sure why he'd do it several songs into a set. We don't have any idea if it's that instrumental or not, there's nothing to suggest that it is (or isn't.) Hell, we don't even know if that piece is an instrumental or just a snippet from a song on the new record. The brackets are neither here not there, they may just indicate Ed wasn't sure if it would be played or not.harmless wrote:Or that. Who knows? Maybe there is a song called lightning bolt and the brackets are there to distinguish it from the album?

Are you just disagreeing with my speculations at this point? Also, the brackets are not 'neither here nor there', they are definitely there.

I think it's already distinguished from the album by virtue of being part of a setlist of songs. Yanno? It's not like the band will forget and think they have to play us the whole album at that point.stip wrote:Maybe there is a song called lightning bolt and the brackets are there to distinguish it from the album?

That or he may preface the song with a little monologue about the new album.stip wrote:Maybe there is a song called lightning bolt and the brackets are there to distinguish it from the album?
