S3 is more Lynch than Twin Peaks 1 & 2 so far. By which I mean that it's slow and methodical and horrifying and gorgeous and strange. The story picks up 25 years after the events of the Original Series. Some things have been addressed. Some things have not yet. Some things might not ever. We'll see. But I honestly don't really care. So far these episodes have been so brilliant and engaging and satisfying that I honestly don't care if they resolve anything.

A few of these have already been hinted at (RR does to-go orders now, Shelly has a kid, Bobby is a deputy, The Roadhouse is possibly under new ownership but definitely has a new name. Jacques still tends bar there...) I'm as excited about watching happenings around town again as I am to unpack all the symbols and themes and emotions.

It looks the same from the outside to me, and the interior looks pretty much the same too. Plus my IRL experiences of how businesses in small towns work leads me believe that a name change is more likely than a new bar in town.
