I really think kreng has a phenomenal team. If I weigh out the pros and cons of each team, they basically come out even. Really this comes down to Cover Me v World's Apart. And I think Cover Me is the better song. Good match, guys. Both of you have teams worthy of advancing. I hate that I had to pick one over the other.

Joey takes this fairly easily even though I'd love to vote for Spenno. Just like his Tom Petty team he has a solid run through all his picks, maybe lacking the highs of some teams but avoiding the lows too. I saw New York Serenade live this february and it won me over. On record it was just another track but with strings and in the room it was jaw dropping. Because The Night is a treat and Incident is rising on my list. That album has something that isn't instantly indentifiable, I've always preferred live versions of the songs however I'm getting drawn to the album more and more. Rising, Shut Out and Tougher were all considered for my team. The only downer here is Night which isn't a bad song it's just not great.

Spenno has 2 massive tracks out of the gate. Wreck is nice ocassionally but it's one of five that I'd drop from The River. Walk Like A Man resonates with me as a father, before parenthood it was forgettable.

The wease vs kreng battle is close. I may have to calculate points or tally the most 5stars.

Cover is very good on record and great live. First pick was an eye opener. All of wease's team bar Fire and War are 4stars or more. Blinded is damn fun, Fall Behind and Secret Garden are gentle pleasantness. Saint rocks and has one of his best opening lines (well maybe top 10).

Lost In The Flood, Adam, Youngstown and Mansion are all top notch (I wanted both Adam and Youngstown). I saw American Skin live this year and I got it. It's good but feels overproduced and overwrought at times. Live it worked more so than on record or on bootleg. And World's Apart is a successful mash.

I'll give it to Kreng as the cover version wasn't necessary, there were still heaps of good originals.
