I'm working through some job applications this afternoon, so I'm spinning the most recent Neil Young archives boxset, which includes:

Long May You Run
American Stars 'n' Bars
Comes A Time
Rust Never Sleeps
Live Rust

:hooray:

The majority of college instructors are part-timers, adjuncts, or work semester-to-semester with no guarantee of getting classes each time. Thus, looking for something more steady, but I'm hoping to teach as well.

The Berlin albums - Low, Heroes, and Lodger
and Scary Monsters are my personal favorites, although the Berlin trilogy was best described in some book,i read as "not so much songs as tone poems" - lots of instrumental experimentation, and use of "electronic" sound influence, which was brand new in the late 70s, when he recorded them.

Bowie played around with these types of sounds way before anyone else, and did some excellent stuff with it.

I always liked Diamond Dogs as well, which is pretty straight forward rock music, with Bowie's style added in, and was loosely centered around the book 1984.
It's not the most progressive album but it's got some real winners on it regardless.

Space Oddity was pretty boring to me as compared to the music he put out as he evolved artistically, but im a snob, so
