Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

It could be fun. Looks fairly obvious to me. Like how many times do we need to make this movie? But Cruise looks like he's gonna own it. I'm not sure how excited I am but it does have promise.

I had the same thoughts, except many of the other iterations have been pretty crappy. Like you said, this one looks fun. I wouldn't call any of the other takes on this trope to be particularly "fun."
Very true.

I liked when he grabbed his wife's butt.
If I would still be married, I'm pretty sure I'd like it if he grabbed my wife's butt.

That's Cruise? *watches trailer* Huh. The thumbnail make it look like a young Dennis Quaid, and I was going to say something about the CGI de-aging they used.

I did not like that part. But I did enjoy the part where he's covered in cocaine and bribes the kids on bikes.

I'm not usually a big fan of the wild rise and then fall of the drug guy, or gun runner or whatever illegal crap they pick movie with the cool 70's/80's soundtrack but that looks kinda fun.
