I keep waiting for him to have a moment like Jack had in A Few Good Men.
"China isn't abiding by anything. They are buying all of our coal. We can't use coal anymore, essentially. They're buying our coal and using it. Now when you talk about the planet it's so big out there. It's like they're there, we're here. We're next door neighbors, right? In terms of the universe. Miss Universe, by the way, great deal when I sold. Oh did I get rich....oh it was a great deal. You know they broke my choppers when I was selling that. 'oh, he's anti illegal immigration' they said 'we're not going to put him on television'. First of all Univision is being sued like crazy. You wouldn't believe. NBC, I made a great deal with them. It's like an amazing deal."

Saw this episode. Was wanting to post that as well but I lost my mind attempting. That is amazing. This is our president.

Is there anything he could say or do that would make you believe he was innocent?
"The fatal flaw of all revolutionaries is that they know how to tear things down but don't have a f**king clue about how to build anything."
I'm not sure it's that unreasonable to assume Trump would say something untrue under oath...yesterday, it's not just that he's denied any collusion with Russia. He denied that he said any of the things Comey recorded him as saying, including asking him to drop the Flynn inquiry and asking Comey for 'loyalty.' He's going far further than saying he didn't play phone tag with Putin during the campaign to kill Hillary's chances.

I anticipate mainly untrue things from him a majority of the time. I was just wondering under what circumstances people here would believe him.

If he came out and said "I only ran for president so I could better my own personal business interests", I would believe him. If he says anything other than that, like he cares for the American people, or cares for the LGBT community, or he isn't racist or sexist, he lying. Pure and simple.
He's been in the public eye here for, what, 30-35 years? Other than changing political party affiliation and not being friends with the Clintons anymore, he's still exactly the same immoral, unethical, unscrupulous, egomaniacal louse he always has been. He was always a punchline to a joke. Now, he wants to run our country the same way he's run his life and business. What was once a punchline is now policy.

Let me tell you, Homer Simpson is cock of nothing!

I think he trends honest any time he feels accepted, appreciated, or supported. He turns surly and exaggeratingly deflective/boastful when he feels the opposite.
His most mistakenly honest admissions have come during soft interviews, where he felt safe.

At this point? Innocent of what, exactly? I don't think he purposefully and knowingly worked with Russia to undermine confidence in American elections. I do think he knew his people were meeting with Russian officials and making promises in exchange for benefits to Trump and his businesses. I'm not sure I could be convinced that he didn't. Certainly not by only Trump's words.
He's such a transparent liar. That's really what boggles my mind about the whole election. He stands up, lies like the worst liar ever, and people swear by him.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

"You're goddamn right I did!"
