So I've always loved fried chicken and waffles, thought it one of life's great pleasures. Then the last time I was in Asheville, I went on a big hike on a hot day, then went to eat this after...And it just felt so gross. Haven't had the appetite for the dish since.

While unfortunate, it makes sense to me. I think the last thing I'd want after a hot, active day is chicken and waffles. But I'm sorry that you're off something you love. That sucks. Hopefully, it'll come back around for you. A similar thing happened to me when I got food poisoning from chicken. I didn't want to eat fried chicken for over a year. Just the thought of it made me feel sick.
