I had heard that too, but I guess it's not true: http://www.avclub.com/article/rian-john ... lMarketingdurdencommatyler wrote:He's writing the treatment. All that being so, Episode VIII will be a key proving ground for him.
I guess i didnt now Johnson was writing the screenplay? This makes me feel a bit better about 9 with Trevorrow
He's writing it *with* Treverow and Derek Connolly who wrote Jurassic world.

Well shit. There you go. I wonder if "that's old info" because of Carrie's passing and the new reworking that just took place. Or if it's always been the case that he's uninvolved with it.Simple Torture wrote:I had heard that too, but I guess it's not true: http://www.avclub.com/article/rian-john ... lMarketingdurdencommatyler wrote:He's writing the treatment. Kennedy said they started over after Carries passing. I wonder was it a finished script?
It must have been.

Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (2017)
Trevorrow is only directing the third one, he is not writing the story.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX (2019)
This trilogy will end up being just like the original trilogy. In more ways than one. But the biggest similarity will be with the directors.
