George should have just kept his mouth shut and walked as a free agent. It's what Durant would have done.

Re: NBA Thread
Celtics should flip penis head Smart or something for a Paul George rental instead of trading what I'm sure the Bulls would demand be a big haul for Jimmy Butler. At some point if you're Boston you can't keep holding the picks though. There are only so many spaces on a roster and developing multiple lottery picks and trying to compete just isn't realistic. I just hope Hayward stays in Utah.

Man, has a player at PG's level ever had a lower trade value? How many teams will even be willing to pay for a one year rental at this point?

Re: NBA Thread
His low value has more to do with the modern day emo athlete's tendency to spill their guts to the world than what PGs actual level is as a player. But since we're on the subject, the people that are trying to say PG is a top ten player are morons. If I'm the Lakers I'm trying to find a better way to spend 32 mil a year. The Pacers won like four less games without him the year he snapped his leg. Not a difference maker.

I wouldn't want PG on my team. He's not a top 10 player but he's acting like one. I hope he ends up in LA....with the Clippers.

I think whoever gets Fox (Phoenix, probably?) is getting a steal and an underrated player. His shooting could use some work but he's underrated, I believe.

I agree. He owned Ball in both games they played against each other.E.H. Ruddock wrote:I think whoever gets Fox (Phoenix, probably?) is getting a steal and an underrated player. His shooting could use some work but he's underrated, I believe.

If he can't shoot threes he's useless. A team needs to at least feel like the potential to develop a shot is there. Nobody wants Elfried Peyton or Michael Carter Williams.

Since he only plays well about one out of every three games maybe he will take a contract that reflects that.verb_to_trust wrote:They probably think because he's from Springfield he will take a home town discount.

Sure, but they won't be paying him much. His playmaking ability will age well. I wouldn't pay him more than what he is currently making, that is for sure.verb_to_trust wrote:They will still be stuck with an old player.

Re: NBA Thread
He's going to full on suck very soon. Money doesn't matter to the Wbillionors but a wasted roster spot should. Sign Livingston back up too he regressed this year. Keep the band together, man.
