I think that's kind of true of most bands , my ex loved the kinks, and knew all their music, including the stuff you're talking about, but that's how people are when they get very into an artist/band. Yeah, that sounds right. It's definitely more of my preference that people dive deeper into the Kinks vast catalog of lost / forgotten gems. Thanks to the recent Bruce tournament, I feel that way about him too.
