I'm 3 songs in - is the entire show new stuff? I'm not sure I want to spoil it.

They do 9 of the new songs, I think.

I'm pretty bowled over by these songs. The outro to Walk it Back is great.

Yeah, my will collapsed pretty quickly. That being said, I think bands are starting to get a handle on how to let the slow drip of an album work in their favor. It feels more like an album slowly coming out during the course of a few months as opposed to one thing, which I feel can have its own benefits.

I wasn't too keen on it when I listened to it yesterday but I liked it a lot more today for some reason.

This happens to me ALL THE TIME with new National songs/albums. I almost always need a few listens, and then I fall in love.

Yeah that has been said to death with this band but I agree.
I fucking love System now as well, I've had it stuck in my head all day.

I believe this has the potential to be very good.

I've still just listed to two songs from this, each of them just once. Guilty Party immediately reminded me of Amnesiac.

In all honesty, that one isn't anything special. It's been so long since I listened to it though, that I barely remember any of it. Everything after that is perfect.

Guilty Party is fantastic. Bryan Devendorf is so freaking creative and probably what elevates this band from great to one of the all-timers.
