The news that David Milch is on board to work with Pizzolatto on a third season gives me some hope. S2 had style, but it was a shitshow and a shit show.

Pretty clear S1 was a singular moment on T.V. that Pizzolatto will never come close to reproducing.

That being said, I love Mahershala, so I'll be watching just for him.

He's got an intriguing face that'll be perfect for Pizzolatto's usual 10-minute long stares into the camera.
