Watched the Blackwater episode last night. I know it got a lot of love when it aired, but the big fights in the latter seasons are much better/more epic.

not knowing the ending made that a very suspenseful episode for me, especially because i didnt know that was loras tyrell in renly's armor

I don't think it is a bad episode by any means. It just doesn't hold up as well after the large battles in later episodes.

Same. There is a lot I like about the show. But that scene in the book was so much better, I thought.

I got pretty annoyed when the article referred to The Red Keep as a dungeon.

I'm not sure if we ever talked about it on RM but I've definitely seen that theory (or one very like it) floating around. It's interesting but I really hope Ned is finished. I think I'd feel pretty cheated if they brought him back.

Can you imagine the uproar if it happens? Especially if it is like the last scene of the whole series.

The show MIGHT be able to come close to the neighborhood of pulling it off only because of... certain other things that they've omitted. Maybe. Probably not, but MAYBE. The books, no chance.

But reading the reactions on the internet the next day would be priceless.

Just finished up season 5 with the wife last night. Getting to watch Hardhome all over again was still nothing short of spectacular.
