Baby Driver is pretty cool. The Beguiled was good looking, but I thinks it ultimately fails. If you can find Okja or The Bad Batch, those were both great. They're also both on streaming platforms right now, though. And I'm looking forward to The Big Sick expanding into more theatres I think this week or maybe next.

Thats such a cool shot. I love the missing brick at the side of the screen.tragabigzanda wrote:Damn, what a great shot:
I'm instantly pulled back into the film's hazy, disorienting vibe. Nolan + Pearce command the screen for the entire running time.
Even at his worst, Nolan films are different. You may like them or not, but there is nobody filming like him these days.

You had forgotten that? Then what did you think the twist was in your earlier post? What were you calling a deus ex machina?tragabigzanda wrote:Thanks Argo, I had totally forgotten about that. In a perfect world I'd re-watch this soon to see if my take has changed, but that probably won't happen in real life.

Yeah, that wasn't even a twist, or at the end. It was known for like a half an hour ahead of time.
