Happy for Avery Bradley. He can take his inflated sense of worth as a basketball player to Detroit, where absolutely nobody will even give him a second thought ever again.

I like Avery but he shows up once in every 2-3 games. Crowder shows up once every 3-5 games....Olynyk was every 8-10 games. I've seen a lot of people losing their minds about the Celts having to get rid of these guys. I don't see the problem. I'd like to keep Rozier cause I think he will end up being a nice rotation player and I'd hate to lose Smarts defense and heart even though he's a bonehead. Those first three though thanks for the effort and everything good luck and all that but I'm not losing any sleep.

Well, the problem is not so much losing all of these guys, it's having to give them all away for nothing or pennies on the dollar when all of them could have been used as pieces in trades over the course of the last year.bada wrote:I like Avery but he shows up once in every 2-3 games. Considering the dogs who are getting $8M and $9M a year, I can't help but feel like two years for $17.2M for Gay is an absolute steal.
I know he's coming off a nasty Achilles injury but still, dude's been a 20/7 guy his entire career.
He's gonna have to change his game to fit in with the Spurs. Although, the Spurs probably need selfish players at this point.

Would you say no to this if it were a trade? Bradley, Kelly Olynyk, Amir Johnson and Tyler Zeller for Hayward and Morris. Hayward fits now no one else has to go.

Obviously not, but like I said, you could have gotten value for at least some of these guys rather than holding onto them until you couldn't get anything back.bada wrote:numbers wrote:Well, the problem is not so much losing all of these guys, it's having to give them all away for nothing or pennies on the dollar when all of them could have been used as pieces in trades over the course of the last year.bada wrote:I like Avery but he shows up once in every 2-3 games. Only thing is you have to take salary back and then they can't pay Hayward. I see what your saying but with the cap coming in a few million below the projected level their options were limited. They wouldn't have lost Bradley if there were more playoff games played.

I think Indiana fucked up Ainge's whole plan. He was going to move a lot of these guys in that Paul George trade.

Why do people keep paying Jeff Green? Even the minimum is too much.

Vince actually hasn't been bad I agree, I think we're just shocked at the 8 mill. He shoots the ball pretty well and for his age is still as a decent defender. Especially how he fit with Memphis. Earlier I meant more from the players perspective as far as guys like Vince still playing. I completely agree about the assistant thing in regards to the veteran leadership thing they always like to throw out there. Although he hasn't gotten an opportunity yet guys like Patrick Ewing are better prepared to be head coached by fitting that exact role as an assistant.verb_to_trust wrote:Old guys matter to warriors fans I guessMonkey_Driven wrote:Because if you did you would see Carter has been a solid role player the last two years. Probably not 8 million a year too but certainly worth 5-6 million on a one year deal. Have to overpay a bit if you're the Kings.verb_to_trust wrote:Not really. I love what you said about Swaggy P. on the Warriors too. That is if you're thinking that he is as poisonous as I do.

He does and Van Gundy knows it. Both of the Morris brothers I'm sure are a pain in the ass. I think Van Gundy wants to blow that team up and start over. They are releasing rights to Caldwell Pope so he is unrestricted now. I bet they are going to be trying to dump Drummond, Harris and Jackson pretty soon.verb_to_trust wrote:Nope.
