Somehow an even bigger misstep than pen going to paper for "chickity china the chinese chicken."

In 1999 at the Roskilde festival, Metallica was playing at the main stage (let's say at 8pm) and Barenaked Ladies was playing in a tent 150m away (from 8.30pm).

We saw the first 20 minutes of Metallica, then skipped to see BNL. A great decision. We had a wonderful time for the next 90+ minutes. After the concert we went back to the main stage, and still got to see another hour of Metallica.

I still rank the BNL concert in my personal top 20 out of hundreds. They were a great live band.

I know you guys were actually talking about Bjork, but the Mars Volta was mostly a giant misstep. First and last records were good, everything in between fucking sucked from them. And now that At the Drive In is back, all is well.

I tried listening to the album a few times. Every single time I wished I had a worm infestation instead. So the cover really is fitting.

They were done as soon as Matt Sharp left the band.

There were a lot of decent rock bands/artists that made fairly embarrassing 80s albums.

The Who, Dylan, Ramones, Paul Simon and, of course, Aerosmith’s descent into craptasticness. I know there were a bunch more.

Continuing under the same band name after a monumental change in members; Motley Crue putting out the John Corrabi album out under the Motley Crue monicker. The Who continuing as The Who as Keith moon's death. That they still tour as The Who is a travesty. Iron Maiden and Judas Priest making albums without their iconic vocalists. AC/DC making an album without Malcolm.

Green Day's Unos!, Duos!, Tres! albums. What a steaming pile of....

The many bands who try and forget the existence of their final albums. The Clash - Cut The Crap, Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Beach, J Geils Band - You're Getting Even While I'm Getting Odd.

U2 trying to stay relevant and just making shitty and shittier music as a result.

Eddie Van Halen getting a keyboard.

Ben Harper ditching the Innocent Criminals.

Axl singing for AC/DC. Wait, that worked. Same for the GnR reunion.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

I'm secure enough in myself to publicly ride hard for "Swallowed" and "Greedy Fly" but that's about it.
