bitching about spider-man being aimed for kids is stupid. the character is 15 years old, he's a kid himself. what should he make anal rape jokes or talk about the time he fucked the spider and it bit him? now, so of course he is going to have star wars stuff in his room (big whoop, could care less if its a disney property) it also ties into his excitement when he figured out how to bring down giant(ant)man. kids see old movies/tv shows and think they are the first to discover it.

i liked GotGv2 but didnt love it. it was very watchable but there are things about it i just nodded at. its probably in the bottom tier of marvel related movies for me (in terms of the MCU that started with IM)

bitching about a movie like spider-man or anything else being cookie cutter or following a formula is asinine. movies get made for 1 of 2 reasons. to make money and to make a statement. making a statement for most major releases is an afterthought. sure there are movies like green mile or the piano or what not that make a nice change and have a compelling story, but they arent my cup of tea. never saw either of them nor care to. guess what? if theres a thread about them i wouldnt watch it and then basically talk down to everyone that enjoyed it.

Marvel has made some fun movies, and a few really good ones. But in general I find them to be overrated, Not especially on RM, but in general. Certainly by the group of people I go to the movies with.

Haven't seen this one yet. Still hoping. Spiderman was a childhood hero of mine.

I'm like the harshest critic of the MCU next to you, and I enjoyed the hell out of this. It wasn't remotely deep or serious, nothing "meant anything" (to reference your earlier post), the energy of the movie moved along at a good clip throughout. I was appropriately scared of Vulture, and otherwise just had a ball watching Peter Parker act too big for his britches. To use an old nyuk-nyuk, it made me feel like a kid again.
That, I will accept. As long as we're not judging a movie based on the opinions of dumbass 12-year-olds.

well you think so highly of your opinion so....
Such an ironic post.

no, ironic would be me going into the baseball thread bitching about how much i hate baseball every time a baseball game is on

you go on and on and on and on and then on some more about how shit these movies are and you come across as upset that they make the money they do while the artsy fartsy movies you like do not get as much love or attention. hopefully it is eating away at you from the inside and you just stop going to movies you already have your mind made up on and just accept the fact that people enjoy these movies despite the awkward or not realistic scenes that help comprise a movie
As I've already said, this is the first Marvel movie I've seen since Age of Ultron, and I only saw it because I like the director. Yes, I generally think Marvel movies are trash, and yes, I know a lot of people like them. I don't know why you consistently seem to take it as a personal attack that people have different opinions than you do.
you are both offensively dismissive and expansive about the things you dont like
Why would that ever be offensive??
that would require a much longer post about how human beings work
ok cool good talk
what score would it have gotten on RT?

I feel like anal rape jokes sound exactly like something a 15-year-old would say

Why cant LV express his opinion without everyone else making such a fuss about? In the end if you are happy with a Marvel movie, thats ok.
He is entitled to go to a marvel thread and say whatever he wants. Is he wasting time? yeah, probably.

I think his extreme opinions which generally run counter to widely-held, critically supported opinions invite the attacks. The majority of people who study/review movies are of the general opinion that this movie is pretty good. A or B. LV doesn't come in and say, "I didn't really enjoy it." He comes in with something insane like, "this movie is a smoking turd."

Ruddo didn't seem to enjoy this movie anymore than LV did, but no one attacked him. Irrational posting invites irrational posting.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I mean, he didn't see gotg2, so he didn't do it there, and he doesn't watch the shows, so he doesn't post in those threads. So to say he does it in "every marvel thread" is really an over exaggeration
