Leave LV alone, let him post whatever he wants, be more confident in your own goddamn opinions
by the same token if he can show a disapproving opinion of a movie we are also allowed to show a disapproving opinion of his opinion in the thread that he posted his opinion in

Maybe someone should start a "LoathedVermin72's Stupid Opinions" thread in the interest of thread integrity

i dont think anyone really cares enough to do so. like i said, i despise baseball, theres no need to go into the baseball thread for me since i dont like it, wont like it, and will never like it
That comparison doesn't hold up. This isn't a running thread about the goings-on of a sport. It's something much more specific: discussion of a movie. To say that only people who liked the movie should post in it makes no sense.

Plus, LV saw the movie, Peeps. Is he not supposed to express his opinion about it?
You don't go into the baseball thread because you don't watch baseball. If you watched a game and thought it sucked, it would be understandable if you then went into the baseball thread and expressed how you thought it sucked.
And hey, for the record, I LIKED this movie. I thought it had mountains of charm, a remarkably well-constructed screenplay, a real deftness in its execution of themes and tone, and a good grasp on the genre's conventions and how to subvert them just enough to make it feel fresh. It's corporate as all hell, nothing to write home about from a photography or design angle, and somewhat clunky in its third act, but I don't see the soullessness that Burt & LV talk about. It is, above all, a well-told story. And Michael Keaton was great.

while i dont want to use the word apprehensive towards the keaton casting i was at least skeptical. i thought he knocked it out of the park. they didnt make him too sympathetic (you understood why he turned to a life of crime but its not like you took pity on him for doing so) and the scene in the car was amazing from both him and i thought you could feel the terror of holland through the broadcast. while not on par with either heath or tennant i believe he is the next tier along with hiddleston in terms of bring a character to life
1st: L_V is always willing to engage in discussion regarding his viewpoints and is never a jerk about it. Occasionally condescending, but frankly we all are at times. While you know he's never going to change his opinions on here, you also know that he is going to have a real discussion about why not. I love the hell out of the Loathed Vermin account.
2nd: This movie was just a lot of fun. I really enjoyed Holland and Keaton. Iron Man was not nearly as overused as the trailers made me fear, and frankly neither was Happy. It never got too serious, and a common MCU complaint is the "stakes are too high" world about to end stuff. This was a very self contained story (almost like the netflix series) with a believable villain that had a motivation that was something we could relate to.

Perhaps I'm just stupid, but I didn't see the Keaton being her father coming at all. Other than annoying sidekick guy and Flash, i liked virtually every character in the movie to an extent. and Gilfoyle!!!

You know, I'm a bit disappointed that I got somewhat spoiled on that detail. But really, it's my own fault. I shouldn't be in this thread if I haven't seen the movie. Then again, I was only here to read the fight happening between Verm and everyone else. So maybe it's all YOUR fault that I got spoiled. But if the movie's worth hinges on one dumb twist or whatever, then I can't imagine that it's a very good movie. I'll either forget all about it by the time I finally see the stupid thing, or I will remember and it'll be fun to track it from the beginning and see if it's "fair" or not.

If it were Star Wars I would have already jumped in front of a bus

Not everyone else. I have been sticking up for him, I'll have you know.
