Should've been a page one post, but I was in a very Sonic Youth mood. Not the album closer, but it certainly feels like it with this outro. All of the static buildup throughout the album culminates beautifully here. It feels like a callback to the "big city blinking" line in the album's opener with all of the noise, heat and chaos colliding and exploding before dissolving into the ether.

Yeah man, I guess so. I absolutely love The National.
